SPH is launching its
shopping malls REIT at 90c. Base on the launch price of 90c,the REIT come with a
yield of 5.79%. Demand for the REIT is very strong among institutional
investors.The placement issue is over subscribed by a whopping 42x. My guess
is that if the opening price of the REIT comes at $1.It will bring the
yield of the REIT down to 5.2% which makes SPH REIT favourable compared to other local
listed shopping malls REITs. The closing date of the IPO application falls on the
22nd July 12 noon.
